Creating a Safe Space: A Leader’s Role

A leader’s role is to bring out the best in others.

They do so by making people feel safe about who they are and what they need in any given moment.

When members, who tend to know more than their leaders do, expect empowerment and support, an effective leader provides it for them. On the other hand, when members err, a leader is successful when they openly own up to their mistake and come to ask for help.

With safety, confidence builds up; with confidence, the best in every one comes out.

This one goes out to all of my past and current mentors who gave me the inspiration to create a safe space for every person I communicate with — a purpose I am truly proud of.

I am who I am today because of you. 💯
